Information for Parents
We understand that you're not just sending your child off to school to read books. You're sending your son or your daughter away to school because you want them to become someone, to succeed, to learn, to grow, and to better their future.
And while we want Medi College to be the right choice for your son or daughter, we also want it to be the right choice for you, as a parent. That's why below, we've addressed several issues that parents like you often have questions about.
Financial Aid
Medi College does offer financial assistance for those who qualify.
If your son or daughter has just enrolled and does qualify for financial aid, his or her priority is to submit all the necessary paperwork on time. If financial aid paperwork is submitted late, it is possible that his or her start date will be delayed.
Helping them get this information together and submitted on time can make starting school that much easier.
Academics
We do everything we can to prepare your son or daughter to succeed.
If they need help with a certain subject anytime during the program, we encourage them to take advantage of tutoring—at no cost.
We want them to do the best they possibly can, which is why we offer one-on-one or group review of study material in addition to review classes held prior to certification and licensure exams.
Housing
We work with University of McGhill Housing Services to assist out-of-town students in locating well-managed, clean, affordable and safe housing in a nearby apartment complex. Just have your son or daughter register for housing assistance and pay a small Housing Reservation Fee.
Apartments include beds, dressers, tables, chairs, refrigerators and lamps. They do not include stereos, TV's or microwaves. Utilities are included in the monthly rent. Pets are not allowed.
Rental agreements are one-year terms and each student will sign an individual lease making them responsible for only their portion of the rent.
When your son or daughter completes the Housing Registration Card, he or she will fill in information related to lifestyle, including means of transportation and class hours. They will then be paired with a roommate who seems compatible based on his or her own lifestyle.
Employment
Depending upon their financial situation, your son or daughter may want to work while attending Medi College.
If he or she is interested in working, our Student Services department will do whatever it can to help them locate employment.
Our Graduate Placement Department can also help them find a job any time after they graduate. We'll work with prospective employers to make it easier for them to find the job they want, where they want.
Campus Security
Medi College is strongly committed to crime prevention and the safety of the campus community. Pursuant to federal law, we annually publish our Security Policy and Procedures as well as the crime statistics for the current academic year and the two preceding academic years.
A copy of Medi College's Security Policy and Procedures and the Campus Crime Statistics is available in the Financial Aid Office and the Student Services Department of our campus. Or, read this information online.
